State-wide Quality Counts 2006 report -  the Quality Counts report, a national report card on public education in the 50 state has given Kentucky an accumulative average in standards and accountability, teacher quality, school climate, equity and spending ranking of "B-" as compared to the national of "C+."

OHIO

State-wide Quality Counts 2006 report -  the Quality Counts report, a national report card on public education in the 50 state has given Ohio an accumulative average in standards and accountability, teacher quality, school climate, equity and spending ranking of "B-" as compared to the national of "C+."

WEST VIRGINIA

State-wide Quality Counts 2006 report - West Virginia has done it again! West Virginia schools have received top honors for three consecutive years in the Quality Counts report, a national report card on public education in the 50 states. According to the just released Quality Counts 2006, the state’s cumulative average in standards and accountability, teacher quality, school climate, equity and spending ranks West Virginia second in the nation.  West Virginia was given an overall rating of "B" as compared to the national average of "C+."

State-wide Technology Counts 2006 report - West Virginia's school system received the highest marks in the country in a national education technology survey, earning a grade of "A" in Education Week's Technology Counts 2006 report for access to technology and capacity to use technology as compared to the national average of "C+."  West Virginia received an "A-" mark for their use of technology compared to the national average of "C."
